Cette chanson est une des rares co-écrites par les 3 membres du groupes. Ils l'écrivèrent pendant qu'ils étaient en tournée à bord d'un véhicule loué près de St-Louis. La chanson décrit les ressentis du groupe lors des tournées. Making Memories est le seul morceau joué à la slide guitare par Alex Lifeson. Il n'a jamais été joué en concert.
